A Day in the Life is a really interesting series of short documentaries that focuses on one day in the life certain pop/niche culture figures. It doesn’t really subscribe to the “celebrities are just like us” mode of thought that many profile pieces do. Instead it’s a really illuminating series that takes an intimate look into these celebrities lives that are much different from the ordinary person. The show is very natural, never feeling forced like most reality TV (except possibly the Mr. Brainwash one, but it’s expected from him). The latest episode focuses on Yacht, an electopop band/company/couple/philosophy/just watch the documentary.
Morgan Spurlock is the producer behind the whole thing and no matter how you feel about him, he does a great job with this. Hulu releases a new short documentary on Mondays. I highly recommend the ones that focus on Girl Talk, Mr. Brainwash (I can’t put my finger on what this guy is), and Das Racist. Each one of the mini documentaries is great, so try and watch them all.
